{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

  1. That’s awesome! I sometimes wish we lived where it snowed so the kids could really experience winter.

I was thinking she looks like she’s had enough. Poor thing. Lol. She looks rather awesome in that outfit though.

She was sick that week-end, but we just wanted to enjoy the sun. She was all about it until she realized that there was snow up to her knees. Lets just say “enjoying” the sun doesn’t quite do it justice! LOL!

  8. Love the snowsuit against the white snow. It is so cute. 🙂 Snow’s melting away and today’s a slushie and muddy and just yucky to be outside. We’ve enjoyed our snowy days though no matter how cold. Thanks for stopping by!

Love the outfit and the sunglasses – very Valentines-y (so cute, even though she was boycotting and didn’t feel well!). Hope you are enjoying your weekend and are getting more sunshine!

We are not getting much sunshine, but lots of nice fluffy snow. We are all still very sick, but we’ve been getting out for short walks to get some fresh air.

Hope you are enjoying your week-end as well!

More snow envy from me! I guess you always want what you can’t have though, don’t you? Mind you, I’m not sure anyone would want our weather at the moment – grey, wind and lots and lots of rain. Half the UK has washed away! That said, we did have a glimmer of Spring-like hope on Sunday as it was clear, sunny and warm enough to sit out (in coats of course).

I’ve been seeing all the news reports and keeping all of you in our thoughts. It’s crazy to see all those houses half under water. I’ll take our crazy winter any day.

Stay safe and warm and hopefully, it will dry out soon!

  15. Now that looks like a moment to be quickly savored. Then, run back in to a warm fire & a cup of hot cocoa! lol! My kids are aching to know what snow feels like… to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, etc. My two oldest vaguely remember snow, they were still quite young when we moved to South Florida. Poor kids.

an exciting first, for our middle son… http://sofiasideas.com/2014/02/14/this-moment-97/
