{ This moment }

{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

 If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

      The look right through you don’t they?

      Not a lot of brown eyes in both mine and my hubby’s family… His eyes will either stay steely blue like mine or go full blown hazel like my hubby’s and daughter’s.

      Have a great week-end!

      I think he was more surprised that I wasn’t wiping his face. LOL! By the end, we had to jump in the shower. He had melt away cookie sludge in his ears, eyes and hair!

    He looks to be enjoying himself. That is one of the best stages – once they can entertain themselves with nothing more than a cracker to gum away on, happy as a clam.
    Happy weekend!

      Yes they are… As I type this, he is trying to figure out how to nest plastic bowls together. This truly is the start of a wonderful journey. They are beautiful when they are newborns, but they are FASCINATING when they grow up!

    Such a good moment! Such good memories of my girls like this!

    Our moment this week comes from our visit with my brother at Maritime College in NY last weekend. It was great to explore his school with him and the girls had a blast with their Uncle. In this picture he took us to see the training ship they use!

    I always think that must be an amazing ‘moment’ for babies, their first tastes of something so completely different, opening up a whole new world for them. Lovely to have caught it on camera. Have a great weekend.

      I know… I try to read their faces. I mimic their reactions, try to get them excited… Both my babies are very expressive! 🙂

      I wish you a great week-end as well! Thanks for stopping by.
