Signing off for a few days… Gratitude

A few weeks ago, I posted about our ceiling and the troubles we had with the winter weight on the roof of our house. Well tomorrow (and possibly Friday), the contractors are coming back to give us a brand new ceiling and fresh insulation in the attic.

So today I’m grateful for :

  • An insurance company that works seamlessly with our best interest in mind.
  • A husband that can work from home, allowing me the freedom of having the car and taking our son out of the craziness for a few hours.
  • A daughter that takes everything in stride and is completely zen about everything that has happened.
  • A home that is not perfect to anyone else but us.

Good night all…

Spring melt

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

I send good wishes that the rest of the construction goes well and easily!

Oh no! It is so disruptive and anxiety-inducing to have your house under construction – especially with little ones. Sending you warm thoughts from VA for a speedy and as inexpensive-as-possible roof repair!

Thank you… Lucky for us, it’s on the insurance. But once again, like with demolition, the reconstruction is going so well and the guys that are running it are angels. The framing and insulation was all done yesterday. This morning, they are putting up the sheet rock and this afternoon the few coats of joint fill will be put in. They promised to clean up so we could have access to the living room this week-end. Then Monday and Tuesday for the sanding and painting and putting back up our molding. We should be done by Tuesday night. 🙂

Hope it’s all going well. And I know you’ve had enough of the snow, but that scene is beautiful.

Yeah… winter does have it’s charms! I’m just a little charmed out. LOL!

Things are going really well which is why I’m already back sharing with all of you. We will have a brand new roof and ceiling by mid-next week, but we will be able to use our living room this week-end. We are pretty thrilled about that since it is about 1/3 of our home! LOL!

I would love to hear from you so please, take a minute and say hello!
