{ This moment }

{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words (a few words) – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

 If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.

clapping hands

** Felt this one might need a few words… my little man has mastered clapping his hands. And not randomly waving them about, but palm in palm, making a real clapping noise. So now, every time I try to take a picture, he’ll sit still, but his hands won’t stop clapping. LOL! My week is full of pictures with perfect smiles and blurry hands! **

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

  1. Gosh – was it so long ago that my kiddies had that same beautiful face your sweet child has. It goes so very quickly – I’m glad you’re enjoying every single clap – just wait until the cartwheels and skipping commence!

      Oh, I’m there with my preschooler! LOL! While one is eating my furniture to help with teething, the other one is rushing home from preschool to put on tuts and dance around the kitchen while I attempt making dinner. It’s a wonderful world I live in!

      Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely week-end.

      Always… My son has a perma-smile etched to his face. LOL! Wait until the top 2 grow enough to show when he smiles as well. He looks like a little rabbit. 🙂

      Believe me, I am enjoying every moment. A few weeks ago, we had to settle on a day for celebrating his 1st birthday because we have family coming in from out of the country… Seems like just yesterday he was born and here I am, planning his 1st bday!

      Congrats on the new little one! So exciting… Hope you’ll share pictures and news!

    So, so cute! It is so fun when the master something and they can’t stop showing off their new skill. Certainly does make photographing them more difficult though, you are right!

    Thank you for stopping by my moment today. Have a wonderful weekend!

      I like the blurry pictures, they remind me of living moments instead of stills. 🙂 My computer is full of them and I can’t get myself to delete any of them.

    The movement in the pictures makes for a more honest picture and bigger smiles I think. Your wee one certainly has a big smile there.Be well.

      It is… I’ve had people tell me that you stop and notice things less with the second child… I can’t say I’ve felt that way, Time goes by faster, that is for sure… But I don’T feel like his firsts have less of an imprint on me. 🙂 I enjoy every second of them!

    Our moment this week comes from after church on Easter Sunday. We have always waited to check out the Easter baskets (the girls know they come from us) until we get back from church but their patience at being able to do so has always impressed me. This picture just captures that perfectly!
