{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Thank you… Our moment was a bittersweet one this week : We picked everything we could before we had to dig out the bed and sacrifice it until our fall planting due to a very aggressive invasion of oxalis. Dinner was good though! 🙂

Can’t beat greens from the garden, but sorry to hear you’ve had to dig it all out. Hope it was just the one bed.

Thank you, you are very sweet… Yes is was, don’t know what happened. I’m thinking we got a bad batch of compost that had weeds in it. Ah well, it will happen. We have big plans for that bed now. My husband is looking into turning into a big hot house! 🙂

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week-end!

That is horrible you guys had to dig it up! We have a few oxalis that my kids love pulling the flowers off of but mostly the rabbits eat them. At least it was a good salad! Wishing you a wonderful weekend and a great Fathers Day!

It is okay… we’ve come to terms with it. My husband is already looking into turning it into a hot house for fall and early spring. We are trying to make the best out of it. Thank goodness for the farmer’s market!

Thank you for stopping by! xo

It was amazing… half was eaten raw in big garden fresh sandwiches and the other half was sauteed and served hot. So yummy.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week-end as well. 🙂

It really was! My son got to eat his first greens from our garden sauteed in avocado oil and then shopped in fresh tomato sauce over pasta. Felt good to watch him eat such nutritious food that we grew. We’ll come out of this stronger growers. 🙂
