Today I’m most grateful for…
– Little gems of nature, snuggled into the craziness of the city.
– Sunlight when they were announcing rain.
– An endless pool of curiosity and wonder, inspiring me everyday to look, listen, smell, ear and touch.
– Friends coming out to say hello.
– A love of nature so unbridled and true.
– Chatty and happy walking companions.
– Mother Nature being the amazing artist that she is.
– Daddy being home and our family being together again.
A life that blesses me with waysĀ to walk this path I’ve chosen, confirming everyday that my decisions, if coming from the heart, will always be the right ones.
What are you grateful for today?
About Yanic A.
Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by!
My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself.
I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.
Gorgeous pictures Yanic! So many stunning scenes of beauty and perfection.
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo

Thank you… that place is such an oasis for us 12 months a year… It is less than 20 minutes from our home, right in the center of town and we feel far removed from all civilization.
Thank you for stopping by… wishing you a beautiful week!

Grateful for so much. I’ve had a lovely day, calm and unhurried. We walked this morning as we do most days. We’ve been trying to walk a little farther than we used to, just to get in better shape. I went through something a couple years ago and still get caught sometimes in unproductive thinking. I found today as we walked I could redirect and focus on something here and now. While I’ve been working on that for a long time, it was good to realize how easily it came this time. I’ve had time to write today, both for the blog and for the book. It’s been a wonderful temperature outside, so we’ve had the house open all day. And … there is cake for dessert! š

Such beautiful pictures! I wish I had a nice, calm lake out here. Is that a marmot?

Thank you, we are very lucky to have these beautiful natural places right inside the city. Yes it is! They were everywhere and very unafraid. We had to warm little miss they can charge and bite. LOL!

Just had to do a little research about the marmot…cute and ugly little things. I’ve seen a few in the mountains around Lake Tahoe but never in droves.

Time to read blogs after a day cooped up in an office and a night of teaching. If I can’t make it out for a walk, then it’s lovely to walk along with you.
Little Chatterman looks a bundle of fun… is he ticklish?

Oh yes he is! LOL! He is now saying “papa”, “mama” and will constantly just say “yayayayayaya” and never stops. LOL! That is what was going on in that second pic.
I’m glad you find time for yourself. So important. And anytime you don’t have a chance to go walking, jump in… we always love company! š
