{ This moment }

{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo video – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

 If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

      Yes we do… he had been walking along furniture for a few weeks, but he was not really going for it until this week! 🙂 The cats are less happy.

      Thank you and have a wonderful week-end as well! xo

    My moment this week is a little bit of a cheat – it’s our ten-year anniversary, so I posted our love story. Many happy moments tied up into one little post: http://notintentonarriving.blogspot.com/2014/07/our-love-story.html

  9. Oh, I just love that you posted a video and that we all got to see his first steps! What a great moment! And a very happy 1st birthday to him too!

    Our moment comes from walking to the pool yesterday with our best friends! It was the perfect ending to a lovely day, and seeing these four sweet friends holding hands I couldn’t help but snap a picture!

    Wooohooo, now you get lots of extra fun! Perfect moment to switch to video, and feels like the perfect time for him to go for it, in his birthday week, and he has such a charming smile, I don’t know how you ever manage to say no to him! Hope he had a wonderful day, and have a great weekend.

      Fortunately, the things I need to say no too are easy ones like electrical outlets, stairs and DVD players! LOL! And yes, perfectly timed! That was 4 or 5 days ago. He’ll be able to run the yard with all the other kids at his party tomorrow. 🙂

      Than you for stopping by!

  12. Oh my word! So cute. I love little ones when they start to walk. Insanely adorable. And they are always so proud of themselves!!

    Our moment comes from a trip to the park. We don’t have a sidewalk at the house so the kids soak in any time to ride their tricycles! Have a great weekend 🙂 http://www.thesurlyhousewife.com/2014/07/11/this-moment-19/

      Oh I know… My daughter was only 10 months old when she started walking. Running by her first birthday. Some thins became harder, bu mostly, everything became easier. Such an endless source of fascination. I just love watching him explore… He took his first running start today. He’ll be keeping mama active, that is for sure! 🙂
