{ This moment }

{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Ah! So pink! Does she love it? You’ve gone for stabilisers, then? Our two had balance bikes, and my son has moved straight to a ‘big’ bike without stabilisers. Hope she has lots of fun.

    • Yanic A. says:

This is her first bike and she is to tall for stabilizers. She never really shown an interest until now. She likes it okay, but gets a bit discouraged. We have to boost her up quite a bit. She’ll be a pro in no time!

And yes, such a pink girl I have!!!

      Have a great week-end. xox

  2. How fun! I bet she loves it! Ah the freedom that will soon come 🙂 Enjoy your weekend. xo

  3. What a gorgeous bike and a great birthday gift! She’ll totally have it figured out in no time! It took both my girls a fair amount of time to get used to be so high up (after their tricycle) but once they did they were good to go! Enjoy! xo

yeah, I think she’ll do great. She just lacks a bit of concentration (likes looking at her feet a lot)… The bike was a great find : Old coworker to the rescue. It will grow with her for a while.

Have a great week-end Shel! xo

Oh, my, this is a grown-up moment for sure, one she will remember too! I remember how learning to ride my bike gave me such a feeling of independence (yay!) and invincibility (prob not what moms want to hear!)! Was it her birthday? 🙂

Here’s ours. Just a truly, simple, silly moment: :http://walterandlila.wordpress.com/2014/09/26/this-moment-56/

    Have a lovely weekend!

    • Yanic A. says:

Yes it was. She turned 4 on the 16th, but we had her birthday party last Sunday. 🙂 And yes, I remember the freedom (and recklessness) as well. She’ll get bumps and bruises, but it,s all part of it right?

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week-end. xo

  5. Aw! It won’t be long before she has it mastered. It’s very cute!

I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Autumn on the Lake

That’ll be a present to remember, hope she’s loving it. I’ve really noticed in my catch up how like you she’s looking too, so many photos seemed to have your expression shining out of her face.

    • Yanic A. says:

She definitely is a mini-me. But with her dad’s eyes. Perfect blend. 🙂
She has been tentative about riding her bike. We are hoping her confidence builds in the next few weeks. 🙂

  7. My four year old daughter got a “Hello Kitty” bike for her birthday and she absolutely loves to ride it. She’s a pink girl, too!! : ) Have a beautiful weekend!!!
