{ This moment } – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama.
How beautiful! I guess your arm is feeling better 🙂 Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you Robin. I’m a scrap quilter, I love random fabrics. I’ve rarely made something that had a repeating fabric. My mother in law watched me go through her waste baskets in her sewing room last time I was there to rescue any scrap over an inch square. This is what I do with them. LOL!
On my way to your moment now! Thank you for stopping by. xo

Thank you Nettie. I hadn’t paper pieced in a while, felt good. You probably recognize a whole bunch of fabrics. Told you I’d go through your scraps!!! 🙂

Thank you… I never thought of it that way but it does look like it doesn’t it? 🙂 The block pattern was called Vertigo. I thought it was fitting. 🙂
Have a wonderful week-end! xo

Oh! It’s beautiful! And fittingly representative of the creativity, ingenuity, and randomness-with-a-pattern that is this life and motherhood. Oh, and a hint of autumn! 😉

Ah, thank you! The pattern is called Vertigo, but I’m thinking of calling the piece “Happy Vortex”. Seems more fitting.
On my way to your moment now. Thank you for stopping by, hope you are well. xo

I’ve had vertigo, and while there’s some resemblance, I like “Happy Vortex” better!
I’d be happy to send you scraps now and then if you’d like. Let me know.

I would love that! I love sewing but fabric here is SO expensive. I usually stock up when I go to the states but am not due to go back until next year. Plus I do a lot of small work (EPP, doll blankets and pillows, etc.) Just let me know if I can help with shipping, I’m more than happy to declutter your space! Write me at ffff.blog@hotmail.com

That is beautiful. Maybe someday I’ll learn to quilt. The quilt community here is very closed to new people, but I’ve taught myself most of my other crafts.

I have no quilting community. What I do seems so foreign to people here. If you ever decide to learn, I can be your Canadian online community! 🙂

Thank you! So soothing… I’ve been hurt the last few weeks so feeling up for a few hours of sewing was definitely a “moment” this week. 🙂
Hope you do! Hopefully you’ll share on your blog… I’d love to see your beginnings.

Thank you so much, that is very sweet to say. I’m not 100% better, any kind of weight on my arm is still very painful, but the numbness in my fingers and wrist are gone and detail work doesn’t hurt so much. Feels good!

Thank you. I had fun going through my smallest scraps for this one (the finish block is only 6 inches big). Found little bits I had forgotten I had. 🙂
