We got to the park around 3 pm. Although the days are longer than they were a short while ago, you still feel the darkness coming in the mid afternoon. But the sun sets slower now, its not gone in a flash the way it used to be. You can sit and watch, look at the shapes of the clouds, talk about textures, colors and feelings. Or simply stare in awe.
I couldn’t stop taking pictures, every 5 minutes a new sky to fawn over. There was no wind today, not even a breeze. It was a peaceful day, one that just sort of floats along. The kids just sat and watched as the spectacle of nature took place. Even coming back home, we couldn’t stop looking up.
What a beautiful world we live in and how blessed we are to be a part of it.

I love cloud watching, it is soothing to the soul. I have to admit though, to sometimes getting carried away, watching up high and forgetting what is down below. I often wonder how much I have missed beneath my feet some days as I stare at the treetops and the sky. I have to make a conscious effort to remind myself to look at the beauty down below too, if not I miss many a treasure.

Funny enough, I had to train myself to look up… always looking at my feet, in a hurry, not wanting to trip on anything. Now, it seems I look everywhere. Not in a hurry anymore! 🙂

Thank you Karen… We were oretty lucky to have such a gorgeous day. It’s snowing very heavily today : Big cotton ball flakes, no wind, a real winter wonderland out there. The way I love winter. Those days have been few and far between this year so I will take advantage of every minute. Heading out for a walk as we speak! Have a wonderful week-end.

Oh those pictures are so beautiful – I love watching clouds from my Dad’s house – he lives on the coast and has such gorgeous big horizons you can really get to know a cloud before it disappears out of sight!

We are lucky enough to be just far enough removed from the city that we get big enough skies. But man, when we head into the real rural areas, I just can’t get enough. 🙂
