18/52 – Her & Him

A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2015.

IMG_1018 (1024x683)Little Miss : We are finally there! We went from scarves and gloves to sun hats and shorts in less than 3 days and you are LOVING it! We all felt so pale. You asked why your skin was blue. Believe me love, you have your daddy’s genes, you will be tanned and glowing before you know it!

Little Man : What a new and exciting world for you. You were still so little last summer, but now you can walk around barefoot, climb grassy hills, squish your toes through the warm sand and just let your body absorb it fully. I’m praying that this weather is here to stay. Watching you so happy and fulfilled, it would kill me to have to bundle you up again.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

  1. Awe, they look so happy to be out in the sunshine. I am so glad that spring finally found you, I know how long you have been waiting for it, and can imagine how much you have enjoyed this weekend. Fingers crossed it sticks around for you.

Spring has decided to skip us altogether, summer is here….27 degrees today. It was hot, and oh so good.

Same here. It got up to 24’C today. Nuts! It’s hard to believe we were all wearing mittens out just a few days ago. 🙂 I’m glad you had an equally wonderful week-end! xo

YES! So much to do in such little time. They are announcing the first 90’F days here… not exactly what you want for mid-spring crops! Hope you are feeling the warmth as well.
