About Yanic A.
Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by!
My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself.
I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.
How lovely this is, you and your family, the beauty of Life right there in all those glorious photos!!! Thank you for sharing with me… Love to you all Merri

We are very excited for our first one. It’s been hard finding time to construct it (very busy hand Little Man) but flowers have been planted and we are building some features this week-end. We should have garden fairies moving in any day now. 🙂
Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

Ours was a lazy one. Not much planting or planning, but lots of little fairies and gnomes…right outside my daughter’s window. I did it in the middle of the night before May Day so she would wake up to a little May surprise! wishing you a wonderful day too!

I would love to see it. We plan on ours becoming a lazy one too (we are planning all perenials, except for a few cherry tomato “trees”. But my duaghter has chosen pink and purple lupin, strawverries and cherry tomatoes. 🙂 It will be a fun and very delicious place for fairies to eat and rest I’m sure.

It’s easy to forget all the little things sometimes. Although I tend to be mindful every day for all I have, when I do a gratitude post. 95% of the time, it’s because we’ve had a less-than-stellar day. I find it grabs me out of whatever has a hold on me and puts me back on my path.

Oooo asparagus! I have read that if you let a section of your asparagus grow ferns first thing in the spring you can cut those down in the beginning of summer and they’ll send shoots up for a summer harvest. Have you ever tried that? Yours look perfect!

Thank you Kim… I truly do feel blessed for these simple happy moments. Big things are amazing, but it’s the little things that truly keep my heart in a state of contentment.

What a lovely collection of things there, life is obviously good. Are you going to join in with the Magic Onions Fairy Garden competition? You’re looking very organised for it.

I didn’t even know that existed. I’ll have to check it out. I’m sure Little Miss would get extra motivated. 🙂 Thank you for the tip.

Thank you Susan, I’m trying to soak every second in for sure. It’s part of why I took my daughter out of preschool early. I want to be with her as much as possible before school starts. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, hope your week-end is a wonderful one.

It’s been wonderful. We’eaten at leass a handful of asparagus every night for almost a week. But we are coming close to an end now *sighs*… Next year will be epic. The 20 or so crowns we planted last year are in full bloom. Too small to eat, but it gives us an idea for next year and we should triple our production. My tummy is already grumbling. Hope your week-end was a wonderful one. xo

Definitely so much to be grateful for, I’m slightly jealous of your garden- this was our first year to skip, I was so sick at the time, but now that I’m up and functional I so wish we had planted one. Happy Monday dear friend:)

It might not be too late to plant something for the fall? Have you thought of just prepping for mid-summer plantings? You may still be able to get some greens, radishes, beets and such in? Just a thought.
Hope you and the belly are doing good. I’m glad the morning sickness has passed. Yay!
