22/52 – Her & Him (a little late)

A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2015.

Little Man : Such a perpetually happy little guy you are. Almost nothing gets you down and you make us laugh every moment of everyday. Although you are still not talking, you communicate volumes with your eyes, your smile, your whole body. We never wonder what you are thinking, you wear your entire soul on your sleeve. We love you so much. ❤

Little Miss : Most kids would be sad and bummed out by the rain and cold this week, but you showed me your “Rain is great” dance. We’ve jumped in so many puddles the past few days, our bath tub has a permanent layer of sand at the bottom of it. You are becoming such an outdoorsy type. You have so many bumps, bruises, scratches and bug bites, your body is like a road map to your childhood. Such adventure in you, such courage… but thank goodness for Hello Kitty band aids! ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Thank you Tracey, I am truly EXTREMELY blessed. I hope you have a wonderful week-end as well. I was thinking of you this morning : A little after reading your beach post, the kiddos and I headed out into the rain to jump in puddles. I was giggling to myself thinking “this is the closest thing I have to a beach today so it will have to do!”… Enjoy that sand for me a bit okay? xo

Such sweet, happy expressions in both of these. I have 2 girls who frequently need band aids too (we call them plasters though!), but their favourites are the Disney princess ones, I’ll have to look out for Hello Kitty ones.
