A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2015.
Little Man : How you love to hide under things. If there is a hole big enough for you, you will be in it. You feel so safe in your little “caves”. You play peek-a-boo, popping your head out like a little groundhog, you love to make us giggle and you giggle right back. You’ve been so much more interactive lately. Waving bye-bye, blowing kisses, sticking your tongue out wishing for us to do the same. It’s been so nice to play with you. Thank you for opening up the doors to your special little world. ❤
A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2015.
Little Miss : 7 am garden watch and you are right there with me : Smelling lavender and sage, feeling lettuce leaves, hoping that the flowers in your garden have bloomed. This morning, we picked radishes and irises and brought them over to your grand-parents’ place, just to wish them a happy Saturday. These simple pleasures suit you. You are beautiful. ❤

About Yanic A.
Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by!
My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself.
I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.
Such pure and gentle glorious children!!! Happy too! You are blessed for sure.Thank you for sharing..and love the flowers and greens.,,,lovely. —Merri

Thank you Carie… she really does and they are so few and far between these days : Not because she isn’t happy, but she is at the “extra cheesy grin squishy face” phase when the camera comes out. LOL!

Lovely portraits and beautifully written – so heartfelt. Your Little Miss looks very content to be out in nature with you. I’m glad your Little Man is engaging more with you all now. He sounds like he might be a sensitive little one? Are you familiar with Elaine Aron’s work? http://hsperson.com/books/the-highly-sensitive-child/ (Just a thought – ignore it if it’s not appropriate!)

Thank you Tracey, so sweet of you to say… We did have a lovely week-end. And same here, went by too quickly. My husband will be on vacation from work in 2 weeks. It seems like it will never get here. We’ve been dying for a long week’s worth of time together.

Hope all is well and that you’ve been enjoying the warmer days! A lovely treat after such a long, cold winter (even though I love winter and all it’s magical snow spring is always so welcome)! xo
P.S. Here’s the link on the potatoes. The video in my post explains more! 🙂 Happy planting! xo

They are growing so fast. Little Man has grown almost 2 inches in the last 5 months. Little Miss, almost 2 inches since January as well. But it is more than that : The baby chubb is going away, they are so long, lean and muscular. Nothing like kids growing up healthy!
Thank you for the link. Look forward to pinning that for next year for sure. We have access to coffee bean sacks at a local roasters.
