Little Man : My little monkey boy. You light up my days. I watch you grow, smiling and truly happy and it makes my heart sing. Everyday, I notice new subtleties in you, new variations of your wonderful soul and it makes me love you even more… Just the way you are. I’m so lucky you’ve chosen me as your mama. It will be a magical time, this road we are traveling. We will learn together and from each other. A lifetime of wonders awaits. ❤

Little Miss : Early in the morning, sitting by our window that faces East, you work away as the sun rises. You breathe art. Hair wild, sleep still in your eyes, you head for the craft supplies and you create piece after piece, letting us glimpse into your endless imagination. Art and creation are things I prayed you would identify with. Such an important part of not only growing up, but living. Later on, I know you will be grateful for this early exposure. It will help you deal with the stress of the world, with challenging emotional moments. It will also help you find and know yourself. Making beautiful things with you is one of  my greatest joys. I love you so much.  ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Such happy kiddos. My little man likes to knit in the morning now. Watching kiddos create is such a wonderful experience, like a little peek inside their souls.

Haha! He is such a little clown… Always ready to make us laugh.

And yes, I’m so happy I have kids that have such a strong artistic inclination. Working both sides of the brain is so important.
