47/52 – Her & Him (B & W)

( Little note : The black & white this week was not a planned thing. We have been sick… all of us (except for my husband and his constitution of steel) so honestly, black and white makes us look less pasty, blotchy and droopy eyed. I’m not used to black and white much so I hope you will still enjoy.)

Little Man : What a sensory overload for you this week : The Christmas lights went up all over the house. You have been getting lost in them. Sometimes peacefully, sometimes not so much, you have been touching them, playing with them, getting your eyes as close as possible to them and taking them in. I think they have soothed you this week. We have all been sick this week, but you’ve been a trooper… my little unstoppable man. ❤

Little Miss : Oh that face… it says a lot about our week. You’ve been channeling a bit of a vixen spirit, it’s been harder to connect. But I know a lot has been happening : It was your first full week at school in a while with all these rotating teacher strikes and you haven’t been feeling well to boot. You are entitled to your moments, I just hope this week finds you more at peace with yourself and us. Please know that we love you no matter what kind of place you are in, I hope you always remember that. ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

haha! My husband is American and it’s very hard for him to decorate before Thanks Giving. In the states, it in at the end of November. But in Canada, it is mid-October. So we agreed lights, but no decorations yet. 🙂

Thank you… I really do hope they will. I’m hoping to find the time to make them a book every year and print them out. I just want them to feel my love always… even one day, when I won’t be here anymore.

So sorry to hear you’ve been suffering, hope you’re all feeling better now, but I do love the b & w! Both photos look so effective, especially love the way those snowflake lights look in the background with the b & w. And what a great descriptive phrase – channeling a vixen spirit! Perfect photo for it too! I have a daughter that could apply to from time to time as well, I’ll have to tell her next time it does!

Hehe! It seems like the “nicest” way to phrase it. But I think many kiddos channel those times.

I just love snowflake lights. We got them several years back and cherish them every year. They are oour winter lights. They stay up until spring.
