Wonderland

How do you know if you have a very good friend? For me, it’s always been the fact that no matter how long it’s been, no matter how much time has gone by since your last talk, the conversation will pick back up like if you had just talked yesterday.

That being said, winter is a very good friend in my book!

This was us Sunday morning :

This was us Tuesday morning :

And this was us today :

Without missing a beat, winter came back to town and the conversation has been sparkling. We’ve laughed, we’ve been quiet, we’ve soaked each other up after all these long months. The temps have been mild enough to predict this was just a short visit, but once again, we will take the season in.

Wishing all of you dreaming of snow a good dumping really soon. And fingers crossed, we may have a white Christmas yet!

Happy midweek everyone and good night.

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Oh dear, trees blooming in winter is not a good thing. 😦 I’ve been monitoring the trees in our yard and so far, the buds are holding on. Strange season indeed!

I’ll be sending snowy thoughts and prayers your way. xo

Oh it’s beautiful! We’ve been getting nothing but slushy snow that melts way to fast. So strange, ours is supposed to be a snot state. You truly have a wonderland. Everything looks so clean and crisp. Shine.

Lol. I stopped in to see if you had replied.. My comment was supposed to read “snow state” not “snot state”. Oye, the dangers of using cell phones for blogging and not rereading before posting. Lol.

I wish you had some… but I don’t honestly know what I would like better : To keep getting teased and it going away (because all that beautiful snow is now a 1/3 of what it was, mushy, brown and melting) or to wait but have snow when we finally do… But I’m grateful for these little peeks into hopefully January!

I’m hoping that by miracle the snow will stay for Christmas as well, but so far, they are forecasting 5’C wednesday and 11’C thursday… Not sure our little 10 cm of snow will survive.
