51/52 – Her & Him

A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2015.

Little Miss : Okay, I’m cheating a bit this week, this picture was taken 2 week-ends ago, but I couldn’t help it : going to see Santa, in his log cabin deep in the woods is by far the highlight of your holiday season. The smell of pine, the frolicking sheep and the joy of seeing an old friend, year after year. I know one day, you will be past this. But I hope it comes later than sooner. To see that wonder in your eyes, that strongly held belief that magic is everywhere, it’s enough to make my heart swell. Merry Christmas my love! ❤

Little Man : So much snow this week! You ran in it, dived in it, rolled in it, made angels in it… You even brought it inside for some sensory playtime. What a joy it is to see you so happy outside, no matter what the weather. The fresh air does wonders for you, etching a perma-grin on that beautiful face of yours.  I still pray everyday for a snowy winter. We will make the best of it my love, that I promise! ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

    Trop vite passe le temps.

We sure did… We are praying it will stay until Christmas morning… We will have temps of 14’C tomorrow. Yikes! We are hoping there is enough that it won’t completely melt away. Is it white where you are? I do hope so for you… Merry Christmas!

    Très jolies photos!

🙂 “I can’t believe the year is almost done…” I have to agree with it…

Both such lovely, happy faces! And definitely yes to the later rather than sooner on keeping the magic of Christmas.

I would love to hear from you so please, take a minute and say hello!
