4/52 – Him & Her (a few days late)

A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2016.

Little Miss : Oh my goodness, you are just so patient. You will let your little brother tackle you, jump on you, wrestle you down to the ground, all with a big smile on your face. That day, you had snow in your face, down your collar, you said nothing and smiled. The whole thing ended with a big bear hug and that is what you remembered. That your brother loves you in his very special way. And that is all that matters to you. You are the best big sister he could ever hope for. ❤

Little Man : Rough week-end huh my love? We had so much going on and you just tagged along, barely complained. But on Sunday, that was it. We went walking, you just let yourself be pulled. Doesn’t happen often, us seeing you exhausted, but it is nice to see you relax once in a while. Feels good doesn’t it? Maybe we can work on that, all of us together. To create that balance for you. That is all we want for you : a balanced, happy life. ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Oh yes… And it seems to be a week-end thing now. Like he doesn’t want to miss anything so he won’t go to sleep. Yesterday, he was so beat in the evening. Poor little guy…

And he is very lucky to have her and vice-versa… He is teaching her so much compassion, patience and giving her so much unconditional love back. It is a wonderful love story to watch unfold.

Merci Marie… Et oui, je suis tellement heureuse de les voir grandit avec autant d’amour et surtout d’acceptation. Ce ne sera pas toujours facile pour notre petit homme, je suis contente qu’il aura toujours sa grande soeur de son côté.
