A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2016.
Little Man : You were sick this week-end. And you are NEVER sick. We didn’t know what was going on until we heard the tell-tell barking cough and knew, croup was in the house. Fevers got scary, but you gasping for air was what broke our hearts. I wish I could take it all away, I would take it on myself. The fever finally broke this morning and you are breathing much better now, but you still need us close and that is where we will be. I know you’ll get through this and you’ll be back to your old self in no time. But in the meantime rest. ❤

Little Miss : It’s been a fun Valentine’s Day week and week-end for you. You are such a romantic. You spent the better part of last week making cards and crafts for everyone you love and then, you got to celebrate in style with a school wide party Friday afternoon. You had so many stories, your bag bursting with cards from friends and teachers. It’s wonderful to see this beautiful environment you are creating for yourself. ❤

Thank you… he is feeling a bit better now. Still on a liquid diet, but you can hide a lot of things in smoothies! 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful V-Day week-end. xox

Hope he is feeling better! We know the croup well and I know it can be scary in small ones. And makes sleeping near impossible. Hope you are getting some rest! The picture of him is so sweet. 🙂

Thank you Carlin. The cough is sticking around. The poor dear hasn’t slept more than 1 hour at a time for 4 days. Hopefully we will see some improvement now that the fever has gone away.

Thank you Kim. Turns out his croup developed into tonsilitis and bronchitis. Not fun! I keep saying my little man almost never gets sick but WOW! When he gets sick, he really does huh? For the face art, the ladies at the school used watercolors instead of that horrible grease paint. Even after a whole day, it came right off with no irritation. It was a great idea!

We had a rough couple of days… lots of trips to the emergency rooms and secondary infections. But he is under good care now. Thank you! And yes, she wore those flowers on her face until bedtime. 🙂

So far so good Karen, thank you… I thought I was going to there for a split second, but I seem to have hurdled it. Little MIss has a cold, but nothing that will really keep her down. And well, my hubby is a rock. 🙂

So sorry for your Little Man… I hope he is feeling better now. I didn’t come around here for a little while, so I am quite late writing. Nice to hear that Little Miss enjoyed her Valentine’s week-end. My own Little Miss was also surrounded by cards and we could see hearts everywhere in the house 😉

He is felling much better, thank you… It was pretty scary for a while there, but we got through it. Now he’ll be happy and healthy until next year it seems. He has been sick once a year, mid-February, since he,s been born. Strange, no?
Ah yes! We just took down the hearts this week-end to make way for Easter Eggs. 🙂
