13/52 – Her & Him

A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2016.

Little Man : First beach trip of the year and that face says it all. The sun was shining and Spring was everywhere. The tide pools were filled with shells, algae, rocks and the tiniest little swimming creatures. You came home so very VERY dirty and full of life. Since, you’ve had a renewed sense of purpose, not so blue anymore. Like you just know in your heart something amazing is coming. Thank you for being so patient. ❤

Little Miss : Life becomes quite magical when you sit under a melting iceberg on a warm Spring afternoon. There are layers of color and debris to analyse, crevices to explore, droplets to listen too, tales to tell of the journeys that have brought them to us. Your wonder lust is insatiable and I couldn’t be prouder. That curiosity of yours will take you so far my sweetheart. Don’t ever lose it! ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Thank you Carie! We had such a glorious day. And YES! Little Man has been getting into so much trouble with the happy weather returning. Rarely do we come home and not have to throw everything in the wash. But watching him without gloves and in freer clothing has been amazing.

Oh! Iceberg exploration is one of the best parts of Spring. I’ll be posting more pictures today. 🙂

Looks like a great first trip of the year to the beach. Nature certainly provides the best backdrop for magic, inspiration and exploration 🙂

Oh yes it does. And it has been such a strange winter with out-of-sorts kind of things because of the freeze and thaws, the warmer than normal temps that even mom and dad have had to relearn and re-explore a few things. 🙂 Hope the week-end is treating you well dear friend. xoxo

      • I’m glad the sun is starting to shine and warm you up, both inside and out. We are having some incredible, almost summer-like weather here and we’re loving it. We walk every day from work and finally feeling more free. Enjoy weekend! xxx

It won’t be summer like here quite yet, but still very warm in comparison and we are planning on taking full advantage of it!
