14/52 – Her & Him

A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2016.

Little Man :  We are back in winter clothes again this week, but you are taking it in stride. As long as you have some good friends in hand and a nice shielded spot to watch the world around you, you are happy. But Spring will come my love, I promise. And all this waiting will just make it grander when it arrives. ❤

Little Miss : Oh that increasingly gummy smile. Your 3rd and 4th teeth fell out back to back and now, you whistle when you speak. Watching you eat has become tremendously entertaining and you keep sticking your tongue out through the holes.  Most of all, you feel like you are growing up and you love it. But please try to not grow too fast okay? Mama wants to enjoy these moments with you for as long as she can. ❤

About Yanic A.

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by! My name is Yanic. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I've since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend... I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself. I'm hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

Yay for losing teeth, how fun, and such a cute smile 🙂 We are (not so) patiently waiting for spring too, but we have to deal with more snow today and tomorrow, and then I think by early next week we will be starting to warm up. Can’t wait!

Yeah, we are expecting 10 cm tonight as well… but then, it should turn into rain for 2 days and 4-5’C so it shouldn’t stick around. How typical right? We prayed for snow all winter and we get it in Spring. LOL! Hang in there my friend. We will get some nice weather before you know it. xo

Oh I love the gappy smile! Kitty lost her second one (another bottom one) over Easter so she’s been showing everyone at school how big her gap is now!

Loving the toothy grin! But they are a sad sign of time flying past. Hoping you’re well into Spring now.

I wish we were well into Spring. As I sit here typing, it is 12’C outside. Normal averages for this time would be around 20’C. It’s been feeling like fall most of June so I’m hoping it waarms up very soon.
