Little Man : Little hands, big jar… Many probably think I’m crazy for handing you something so breakable and oversized, but you are so careful with it. Actually, the more we trust you, the more you show us you can be trusted. Do accidents happen? Of course… But how else will you learn? And anyway, I don’t really have anything else that will contain the 16 oz smoothie you’ll inhale in one sitting. LOL! ❤

Little Miss : I mean, is there anything really to say? You found a witch’s broom that LOOKS like a witch’s broom! So much fun! It was tempting to bring it back home, but your were respectful of the fact we were in a protected area and you put it back where you found it after flying around on it for a bit. What a careful heart you have when it comes to the nature that you love. And I love you for it! ❤

Haha! She has the best fashion sense! 🙂 I’m surprise she doesn’t get teased at school. And yes, I’m blessed with a Little Man that can be so gentle… although it is still a challenge at times. But the fact I know he can do it keeps me motivated. We’ve been practicing pouring… That has helped with his concentration and skill.

i totally agree with you, if we let them use adult jars and glasses, they’ll learn to be careful and have more confidence in themselves.

We’ve been working on life skills (Montessori style) and most of what I use with him is a smaller version of an adult tool or object. But when it comes to food, he eats like an adult… So when it comes to meals, kid sized stuff just doesn’t cut it. 🙂

A few seconds is generous. LOL! He loves his smoothies. I have to be careful when I use the blender. He comes running, convinced I’ve made him another smoothie. I feel so bad when it happens. And YES! That was the best find ever. We had so much fun.

Amazing witch’s broom, love her whole outfit too but most especially the hat! And smoothies are such a great, and handy thing for them to love, that jar looks perfect for a large one. I’ve been finding it really hard to keep up with blogging recently, both my own and others. Nothing really exciting or catastrophic, definitely not things that would make interesting reading just life taking over. And obviously you’ve found it tough to keep up to date with your place here, quite possibly in the same way. So I do understand and don’t want this to sound like any kind of pressure….but…. I would love to see how things are coming on in your garden if you have a chance!!! You were a huge inspiration last year on that front, and whenever I’m out in my veggie patch (quite a lot this year!) I always think of both you and Kim. So whether it’s progressing amazingly or another area of life which is a bit of a struggle to get completely on top of (ha, almost every area round here!) it would be lovely to read about it XXX

hello Sally… so sorry for the late response. YES! It has been a challenge and like you, sid, nothing that I feel is wworth sharing, lots of the same ol’ same ol’ and by the time the day is over, I’m beat and uninspired. But now that our first school year is coming to an end and that therapy has resumed in a more normal way ( we were in a group workshop out of town for the last 5 weeks so I was doing a lot of traveling), I’m hoping to get more time. And I pan on posting pictures of the gardens soon. Just been waiting for 1- a break in the rain and 2- for stuff to grow. We have been very unseasonably cold and everything has either died out or stunted. We lost almost aall our tomato, pepper and cucumber plants, herb seeds have drowned in the insane amount of rain… Lets say ir has not been a very motivating early gardening season, but we aare not givving up. Soon on this soon I swear!!!
