About

Hello to all of you and thank you for stopping by!

My name is Yanic. I’m a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of 2 beautifully complex and unique children and a lover of all things inspiring. Having started a personal journey of self discovery when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I’ve since embraced a daily life of simpler pleasures and gratitude. As we get to know each other, you will know me as a quilter, a gardener, a Tao cultivator, a vegetarian foodie, a true believer in a healthy family life as being the secret to my happiness and hopefully as time goes on, a friend… I will try to share with you my days as they unfold, speaking of my happy successes without censoring my challenges, trying to make this blog a true portrait of the ever-changing path that I have chosen for myself.

I’m hoping to find in these pages others to share with and learn from, bringing to light the absolute connection in all things and people, showing this world as being a true community.

  1. Hello and thank you for finding our blog interesting enough to follow. I know very little people who, after they have kids, still continue to soul-search themselves and find new ways of improving their quality of life, not by increasing quantity of stuff they own. Your story is heartwarming and honest, truly inspirational. Thank you for sharing and I can’t wait to read more posts on your blog. Have happy and beautiful day! 🙂 Mladen & Milica

Thank you… that is so sweet! I was raised on not much. My mom was a stay at home mom, my dad owned a small business and I was the happiest kid! Some f the best memories I have are about crafts, imagination, the outdoors and face-to-face time with my family and friends. I always promised myself that if I was blessed enough to have a family of my own, those were the values I’d try to pass on. I did the constantly wanting thing, brings nothing but heartache and you are never satisfied. Be happy where you are, in the moment you are in, with the things you have and feel blessed always because you are. My life is a good life and I wouldn’t change it. Thank you again for your kind words! I look forward to reading more about you as well. 🙂

HI Yanic, We have conversed before through the recent blog swap hosted by Amanda at sweetpotatoclaire. I had a few minutes today to cruise around your blog. Wow!!! How lovely and incredibly inspiring. We share similar loves in life and love the simplistic ways as well. I would love to be a part of the 52 weeks letter. Thinking on how to go about that. Hope to hear from you, Christina

Oh yay! Absolutely : Just send me your mailing info at ffff.blog@hotmail.com and I will totally add you to my 52 letters. I just love getting to know people and I’ve been finding out more and more how much of a community bloggers form. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better as well. I’ve been trying to go on people’s blogs and going back in past posts, but time has been lacking. I’m making it a point to check out your info tonight though.

Thank you so much for taking the time and I hope you’ll email me! 🙂
